About Me

I have been creating art most of my life. Like many artists, it’s what brings me joy. My chiropractor can attest I get lost in my work for hours, never taking a break. I need to set a timer just to do some stretches maybe walk the dog.

Studying the art of my heroes is my continuing education: Magritte, Van Gogh, O’Keeffe, Kahlo to name a few. Of course, my greatest inspiration and teacher was and is my mom.

I am now living in Northwest Arkansas and am really looking forward to seeing the local art, galleries and museums. Crystal Bridges is my happy place. Traversi and Benton kept me entertained for hours at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.

From Charley Kassbian:

I was absolutely over the moon to discover your art! I was exploring your page, and was truly amazed at the diversity and incredibly high tier quality of your art.
As a definite Dog Person, I’d be lying if I said that the dog portraits weren’t what first grabbed my attention. I was so excited to find such vibrant and distinct personalities that these pups exude through their frame, really inviting a sense of connection to the viewer. However, as I continued to browse, I found so many other works that really engaged and amazed me!
I was so impressed with your surrealist, almost abstract works that you’ve shared on your website, such as “Owning the Night” and “Last Call”. There is such a compelling energy and sense of mystery to these works, really conveying this kinetic and engaging piece for the viewer to explore. One of my personal favorites is “Charlie Houston and his Dog” I love the slightly abstract construction of your subjects, and how effectively they maintain this strong, poised position in the frame, as if the two are ready to take off on a great adventure.
Overall, I found your work really remarkably compelling. I love the diversity in your works, the remarkable creativity that goes into the conception and execution of your art, and how successfully you convey this immersive, engaging, and kinetic energy through your art. I personally really enjoyed your work, and I am confident that our Kansas City showcase audience will really connect with your art!
